This home is made for summer entertaining as well as daily living. Inspired by the water, we brought seashells, stone, and water tones into the design. The kitchen required thoughtful planning due to a prominent curved wall in one corner and a half wall overlooking the sunken living area with a lake view. The tiny insufficient island was replaced with a workspace made for serious cooking and casual seating. A wet bar was added to an expansive underutilized wall. Every detail of the cabinetry was specified to ensure true function. The powder room was totally transformed when an intrusive foundation bump was transformed into a design feature with beautiful tile. The most challenging structural elements in this home, were intentionally worked into the plan, to become interesting design elements.
